Global Media Forum Discusses Future of the South

National and international media, including the Argentine News Agency, came together for the first Forum of Communication Media and Idea Laboratories of the Global South in São Paulo, which took place over two days. Representatives from 170 media outlets from various parts of the world, companies, institutions, and non-governmental organizations gathered to exchange ideas and discuss under the theme "Development and Revitalization: A New Journey for the Global South."

During the event, the influence and importance of the region on the international stage were highlighted, identifying it as a decisive force to promote global changes. The need for media and think tanks from the Global South to make their voice heard was emphasized, advocating for a fair global multipolarization that contributes to peace, stability, and development for all countries.

The Forum was organized by the Xinhua News Agency and the Brazil Communication Company (EBC), with the participation of news agencies from around the world, including the Argentine News Agency. At the beginning of the event, congratulatory messages from the presidents of China, Xi Jinping, and Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva, were read.

The meeting was framed ahead of the XIX G20 Summit that will take place this month in Brazil. In this context, the Brazilian president expressed his commitment to the concept of the Global South as a new political vision for building a better world, with clean energy, fighting hunger and poverty globally.
